Tea Party…With Beer….

Written on February 7th, 2010
[mood_description] | [music_description]

I spent a while yesterday between Daytona time trials and ESPN Super Bowl stuff watching the Tea Party Convention. I have a problem here. While I still agree and am on board with a lot of it,ok,99.999999999999% of it,the ranks that put this on is a for profit branch of the movement. Liberals look at it like it’s a bowel movement, but hey,Conservatives looked at the hippie movement in the 1960’s as the same thing.

Anyway, the message is still the same. It was a little more conservative at the dinner where Farah and Palin spoke at. But the message is still there, and it’s really the same message that came out of the liberal, leftist hippie movement of the late 1960’s and early 70’s that ushered in the Civil Rights movement,NOW,made the otherwise boring Democratic National Convention a piece of history, put Kent State on the map for good, and a few other things.

What’s wrong with questioning government? What’s wrong with calling people who have been elected to office on what they’ve accomplished or haven’t accomplished? Is it just a rule of thumb now that campaign promises are made to be broken and never owned up to? Is it wrong to question that? There was,and still is a large percentage that claim if you question this administration’s authority as with every other, then you are not a true American. In fact,if you question anything about Obama, then you are labeled a racist, unless you’re African-American and you question him, then you are labeled an “Uncle Tom,” for siding with the Conservatives and the “white man’s party.” That’s what they’re called by these liberal Democrats that are supposedly for “every man.”

By the people, for the people. We elect them, for whatever reason. They’re supposed to work in the interest of their constituency, and if they don’t,or if a majority of the electorate feel that they don’t,then it’s time to show that disapproval at the polls when the next election comes around.

But here’s something that I’ve noticed, and maybe you noticed it as well. This began when W. and Gore came down to Florida and the “hanging chads.” The arguments that began to surface even more than they had before when Clinton or Bush1 or Regan held the Presidency is that members of the House and Senate weren’t serving their electorate anymore, but served the lobbyists. This little tidbit has become even more glaringly apparent in the last couple of months regarding the health care reform debate with the Nebraska deal, and what is being called the new Louisiana Purchase. Trust me,someone will explain them to you in depth, but let’s just say I hope that 49 other states enjoy paying Nebraska’s medicaid bills from now on.

It’s deals like that, and what a lot of people feel the Obama/Pelosi/Reid trifecta have done that have gotten the ire up of a lot of people in this country. I’ve said it before,it’s about damn time something got the ire up of the people in this country. It’s no secret, and it should have so glaringly obvious as to why Howard Dean and the DNC tossed Obama up as the Democratic nominee for President. Hillary wasn’t going to beat McCain. No way. Not even after he chose Palin as his VP. BUT,they went with Obama, who, because of the color of his skin, got the minority vote hands down. You can’t argue that fact. You also can’t argue the fact that if you watched the Presidential debates and paid close attention to what Obama and McCain were saying, that we’d be having these same debates over health care and bail outs because McCain was on track to do the same thing, and as a result, you would have still had a part of the electorate that would begin to call bullshit on the beltway.

Maybe it’s just the rebel in me,but I question authority a lot. I question my superiors at work. I question the people I cast a ballot for whether it’s a city, state,or Federal election. If the candidate I lean towards and cast my vote for lives up to what they say they’re going to do,then when re-election time comes,I might just vote for them again. But if they haven’t,that’s another story. It’s time for them to go.

So,why is it wrong to question this administration at each and every turn just like we have former administrations? Why is such a problem for the liberal side of the Democratic party to accept that the Tea Party movement is exactly the same organizing movement that ACORN was? Why is it wrong to expect that if an agenda is being pushed by an administration that people don’t agree with, that the people won’t push back? we pushed back against the Patriot Act didn’t we? Perhaps if we had pushed harder than what we did, that would have gotten as mired in bureaucracy as health care reform has become.

There are decisions being made every day by this administration that should have people doing double takes and saying”WHAT?!?!” very loudly. By both parties. There have been decisions made in the last few decades that have put this country on a path to a huge bubble being blown and when it does burst,AND IT WILL,is oing to push this country into something that none of us are prepared for.

Why shouldn’t we question the fact that China has bank rolled the financial bail out? What’s going to happen when we can’t pay that back and believe me,it’s in place for us NOT to pay that back. Why shouldn’t we be asking how all of the sudden it is inherently evil for corporations to turn profits? Why shouldn’t we question the government take over and buy in to businesses and banks? Why shouldn’t we question our government at each and every turn and hold them under a microscope of public scrutiny? After all, they’re supposed to work for us,right?

By the people,for the people.

You Always Get What’s Coming To Ya…

Honestly,I don’t think this kid should serve another day. What the Gloedes did to this kid’s mom was beyond, well beyond reason and believe me,the details of it aren’t here. The final blow to the head was the mercy killing part of it.

I’ve said this, and I firmly believe it. You harm one of my own, what the law doesn’t do,I’m going to. Plain and simple, and the person or persons involved had better hope the cops get to them before I do.

Like I said. This kid finally has justice.

A Conroe teenager has been charged with murder in the shooting death a man who was accused of killing the teen’s mother four years ago.

Keith Ryan Randall, 18, was charged Thursday night, along with a 15-year-old female, in the death of Michael Fred Gloede.

Firefighters on Monday found the badly burned body of the 55-year-old man in his Lake Conroe-area mobile home. An autopsy revealed he was shot twice in the head, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

The teens attended schools in the Conroe Independent School District, according to Lt. Dan Norris of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Randall is being held on $500,000 bail in the Montgomery County Jail, and the girl is in juvenile detention.

Gloede and his son, Michael Brandon Gloede, were charged in the 2006 death of Randall’s mother, Lori Randall, 32, according to published reports. Michael Brandon Gloede was convicted in2009 of manslaughter and is awaiting transfer at Montgomery County Jail, according to Norris. The status of the charge against the father could not be determined Friday.

Lori Randall suffered “blunt-force trauma to the head” and was pronounced dead on May 4, 2006, according to reports.

Her relatives and friends told police investigating her death that the Gloedes abused her and that she feared for her life after learning of their alleged involvement in drug dealing and other illegal activities, according to published accounts of the arrest affidavit.

Arson investigators determined that Monday’s fire was set intentionally.

Phil Grant, an assistant prosecutor, refused to speculate on a connection between the current investigation and the 2006 death of Lori Randall, saying the DA’s office had decided not to comment on the ongoing investigation.

Fishing…..Yes,this is what I meant…..

Hahahahaha. I love to push buttons if you haven’t noticed, and there’s a couple of you on here that crack me up every time I do it. Like I said,I was going fishing, and the fishing is good, but I keep catching the same damn fish and throwing them back. TP&W says one is endangered NARROW MINDED SPINELESS CATFISH. I didn’t even know they existed until I really started going for buttons to see which way they would flop, and flop continually they do.One other interesting feature is that their asses are wound so tight they tend to shit diamond like turds in the water that are keeping the real fish from actually eating and are also polluting the Gulf Stream which is carrying this up north to the Arctic Circle and melting the glaciers.

One I keep gettin’ on the hook is a keeper. He’s got a brain in his head and sees things two ways and is open for discussion and has an open invitation for a beer anytime he gets near the boat.

I got a few new lures at Wal-Mart today. One is called the John 3:16. It’s a spinner bait that goes about mid depth and  both tend to hang up on large mouthed sow bellied bass. I have another one called the Romans 10:9 that runs a little deeper and tends to catch the same kind of fish. Two of them are enough to feed a whole family, but they won’t place you in a tournament. They won’t bite on anything else, but if you throw a little scripture tail onto that hook, better back up and put your feet on the transom because the fight’s on.

The other fish the game warden has identified is the BIG EARED OBAMA SUCKER FISH. Ironically,I keep catching this one with just a hook with some cheap bologna on it,or if I thread a worm just right to look like a penis,he’ll suck right onto it and it takes both hands and wench truck to get him off it.When you get one of the Obama Sucker fishes on the hook,it seems like you’ve got a whale until you get it in the boat and slap the crap out it to stun it and there’s nothing left of the fish. It also seems that there are reports coming from the Tea Party boats that are using the John Boenner sinking jig,the Ted Nugent bow lure, and the Glenn Beck meat hook(that is commonly used to catch tiger sharks in these waters) keep on catching these Obama sucker fish. There are even reports from some boats that if you go too slow across the water, the Obama Sucker fish will suck onto your boat so hard it may sink it. Many boats have come in with mysterious holes in the hulls that can only be accounted for by mass attacks of these fish.

Now,Texas Parks and Wildlife has assured me that they are doing their best to rid our beautiful lakes and streams and river systems of these invading fish that they believe fell off a Chinese trawler that got in a little too close past the 1 mile marker that defines international waters here.

Oh well….I’ll just keep dangling my bait and see what I keep catching……

hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe…….

More Galveston Funnies…

Ok,this is the whole article from the local paper today. Read it,and then I’ll give you some geographics on where this Bistro is located in relation to the public housing that is being rebuilt. It all becomes clear. The trailers, the things going on in City Hall,it all becomes clear as a whistle……

GALVESTON — A group highly critical of the Galveston Housing Authority is circulating a petition to prohibit the city from disbursing any money to build or rebuild public housing in Galveston without voter approval.

The Galveston Alliance for Responsible Development — which has opposed the agency’s plans to rebuild 569 units of public housing destroyed in Hurricane Ike — is attempting to collect enough signatures to force the issue onto the ballot, likely by May.

If successful, voters would get the opportunity to decide whether to change Galveston’s charter so voters would have the final say before the city could spend any federal, state or local money to build or reconstruct government subsidized housing.

Galveston Housing Authority Commissioner Ray Lewis said the petition borders on silliness and is a “sophomoric effort at best,” by the agency’s critics.

“Not to have any public housing on the island at all, that’s a little bit absurd,” he said. “We’ve had public housing on Galveston since 1940. The reason we have public housing in Galveston is because of our population and income level of our population. If some of these efforts were not just so — and I can’t find a better word for it — stupid, it would be scary. I can see someone submitting a petition not to allow any poor people on the island. This is just not far from it. Where does it end?”

Brian Sullivan, spokesman for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, declined to comment on the petition.

Harish Krishnarao, executive director of the housing authority, City Attorney Susie Green, a spokeswoman with the regional U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Texas Secretary of State’s office did not respond to questions about whether voters could legally demand a vote before a city disburses federal, state or local dollars on public housing.

The city already has approved giving the housing authority $25 million, or 16 percent, of the $160 million in the first round of federal disaster recovery dollars earmarked for housing to finance its redevelopment plan.

The city will release the money after it approves the housing authority’s plan.

The housing authority intends to replace 569 units of public housing with 390 units on the existing footprints of the four demolished public housing developments. The remaining 179 units will be scattered throughout the island.

Julia Kamen, a member of the alliance, said the housing authority shouldn’t build any new public housing units when thousands of vacant or abandoned houses exist in Galveston already. The Urban Land Institute has estimated there are 9,000 vacant houses in Galveston.

“We should take our time and figure out the best use of taxpayer money before we rush to build something in a flood plain when we have close to 9,000 vacant and abandoned houses in the city,” she said.

Under the city charter, the city council has final approval of public housing plans. If voters change the charter, Galveston residents would get to vote on public housing before the city spent any money, directly or indirectly, on public housing, except as required by state or federal law or regulation of a granting agency.

The alliance has to collect fewer than 1,800 signatures from registered Galveston voters before putting the referendum on a ballot. The last day to put an item on the May election is March 8.

Kamen said the petition is not a tactic by the alliance to delay public housing residents from returning to Galveston. She pointed to the housing authority’s estimates that more than 250 families of the almost 560 families displaced from public housing after Hurricane Ike struck Galveston on Sept. 13, 2008, still live on the island.

“It’s not like the people who were in public housing are standing out in the rain,” she said. “They do have a place to live.”

The intention of the petition is to force the city to allow Galvestonians to have a voice in the redevelopment decision.

“I don’t want the housing authority to be the biggest developer in Galveston,” she said.

Lewis said much of the criticism about the housing authority is based on erroneous information, which he said the agency should start addressing. The agency’s critics have been emboldened by the silence of the agency’s supporters, he said.

“We have to start speaking and respond to some of these just outlandish things like this,” he said.

The best way to quell the criticism is to “stay the course of what we are obligated to do, what we have a mission to do,” Lewis said.

The Galveston Open Government Project, a sister organization of the Galveston Alliance for Responsible Development, is not participating in the petition drive because the organization has registered as a nonprofit with the Internal Revenue Service, prohibiting it from participating in election campaigns or other political activities.

The Galveston Open Government Project, cofounded by housing authority critic David Stanowski, has distributed information about the petition drive and has offered to collect names and numbers of others wishing to start petitions and connect those people to each other.

To Sign The Petition

Sign the petition at Bistro LeCroy, 2021 The Strand, in Galveston

Ok. Here we go. Galveston geography. After you exit I-45 on Harborside Drive and head east, this road take you first to Farmer’s Copper and Marine Works, two ship yards, across the bridge to Sea Wolf Park(great fishing and a cool submarine is there),past the cruise ship terminals and several docks where the gulf shrimp boats and off shore rig crew and supply boats come in,and then past the public housing projects, which as the article states have been there since the 1940’s,and then to the UTMB Complex.

Just past these projects is where the Strand Historical District starts and on this lone corner stands a fucking Starbucks. Around the corner from that Starbucks on Strand Ave. is this Bistro, that was just opened after hurricane IKE. The place USED to be an old army surplus store and is across the street from Fuddrucker’s,Bad Boyz Tattoos(owned by the Bandidos) on one side and a gay bar on the other side. The person and/or persons involved in this petition are just exactly the kind of people that are raising hell about the Fema trailers being an eyesore.

Now,to make it clear, these projects(which is what they are) border an area known to us locals as,”The Jungle.” You don’t go in the jungle unless you’re a cop with SWAT back up,looking for drugs, prostitutes,or have left a suicide note somewhere, and especially you don’t go there if you’re white. Or,non American of African descent.

True, there are vacant houses all over Galveston Island, but that is because an insurance inspector has deemed them unfit for human habitation since the hurricane and,as the battle rages on in court, insurance hasn’t paid the home owners off to rebuild and repair. There are empty apartments that were reserved exclusively for students and doctors and staff at UTMB,St.Mary’s,the Shriner’s Burns Institute, and the other medical centers that made up the whole UTMB Complex, which has gotten its funding back and will be reopening and running at full blast very soon. Which is nice because they are the only level 1 trauma center in the area besides Memorial Herrman in Houston. There are also barracks that were abandoned by the USCG on the Seawall, but they were taken over by a developer 15 years ago and have yet to be developed into anything but a place for falling stucco fanatics to watch stucco falling off the walls.

But these are the places this person is talking about putting the families that live in these lower income projects. They aren’t section 8 apartments as they belong exclusively to UTMB,and UTMB hasn’t sold these properties, and is in fact, working over time to have them ready from the Spring semester of med students.

This is about that little ole IMAGE changing of Galveston. This is about someone that owns a business that is on a borderline where they undoubtedly see what every other business does in that area every day,and they don’t like it. This is about someone that has transplanted themselves into one of those 1million dollar homes in Tiki Island that are apt to be destroyed again in the next hurricane and have an ideal that “people like that just can’t be good for the Island.”

It’s people like that who are the descendants of slaves that came through the port of Galveston that live there. It’s people like that that give the Island a flavor the likes of which s unrivaled anywhere else. It’s business owners and the Galveston Alliance for Responsible Development that are showing their true colors trying to dictate Galveston Island into some sort or twisted, gated community and decide who gets to live there and who doesn’t.

I’ll be surprised that after the locals read this paper today,if that Bistro ever sells another sandwich, glass of wine,or just doesn’t get torched by the Crips….

Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Me……

Written on February 5th, 2010
[mood_description] | [music_description]

So,I’ve been doign some thinking. I know, that’s a scary thought for some of you,and what I’ve been dwelling on is the Don’t Ask,Don’t tell policy in the military. Now,if you were with me back in the Clinton days, and many of you weren’t that were on the original mailer that went out on AOL,IRC,and Yahoo in their infancy, then you know how I feel about it,and that is,who cares? There have been gay men and women in military since the beginning of war. It was the way of things. Read Caesar,or Lucretius,or any account of any Greek,Spartan,or Alexandrian era battle. For the Europeans that is. Not the case for the Mongols or Genghis Khan, and more than likely not for Vlad Tepest. He’d stake ya,but not in a good way.

What the gays are wanting is to openly declare they’re gay without reprisal. I can see that. Why should it matter who is gay and who isn’t so long as the guy or woman next to you on the battlefield has your back? But,the argument falls to two words that have absolutely nothign to do with any kind of gay rights that are found in the Constitution. Those two words are INALIENABLE RIGHTS.

Being gay is a sexual preference. And because you chose to be gay(and the word inludes lesbians as well),is your business. It’s a moral issue because of one passage in the book of Exodus in the Bible where God proclaims to Moses that if a man lie with another man than it is an abomination to Him. That was the beginning of the Biblical moral code and setting up of the structure of the family by Yahweh. Not JESUS,but YAHWEH. GOD. Maybe Allah says the same thing, only that excludes goats and camels,I don’t know.Old Testament folks, not New Testament. All Jesus said was to love one another and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That’s the whole love God,hate sin thing in nut shell.

I’ll go to this extreme. If practising every little sexually deviant thing,if morally perverting everything is your business because you feel it is covered under the constitution, then I am sure you will be attending the next rally of N.A.M.B.L.A. Which is the North American Man Boy Love Association where grown men feel it is their God given right to enjoy the pleasures of little boys. This is an organization that isn’t even allowed to march in Gay Pride parades. The gays don’t like ‘em either.

What you chose to be sexually,is a choice. A moral choice. A physical choice. Not a preconceived conception, nor a pre-ordained path for you to follow. The traditional structure of the family, and this was even apparent back with the Romans and Greeks(I know the men were pre-dominantly bi-sexual as well,I took the classes on ancient political histories and philosophies)but in order to propagate the species, copulation had to occur between a man and a woman. Now if there was any kind of basic structure to a family,it included a man,his wife, their slaves, eunuchs, and a whole lot of other things. There was some debauchery going on back then.

But out of this came a moral shift that excluded all the extra curricular activities to include simply a man and a wife of the female persuasion. Not of the drag queen or transgendered,to give birth to future kings, queens, soldiers and peasants.

Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell,Prop8,and a few other props going around, these are truly to me,not constitutional issues. They are moral issues. Prop8,when given to the general public in California to decide, was voted down by the general public in an election. It’s going to take an armed services panel 1 year to investigate the consequences of lifting Don’t ask/Don’t tell at the tax payer’s expense, then to reconvene before the Senate sub-committee and then written into a bill to be introduced into the House and then Senate and it will,as Prop8 is going to,go to the Supreme Court who cannot seem to interpret what is pornography and what isn’t.

Like I said at the start, when it comes to being in the military,it doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight, when the bullets are flying, you better have your partner’s back. But it still comes down to what is referred to time and time again as an erosion in the moral fabric of this country to be more acceptable to alternative lifestyles as they are in Europe.

We’ve gone full circle here from the days of the American Revolution when the sole aim was to be separated from England and Europe, now the movement is to be more and more like them. Frankly,I truly think we should all aim to be more like the Chinese, you know, the country that owns us until we pay back the trillions of dollars we owe them, and they don’t tolerate gay rights quite like we do.

So,I’ll say this again, just to clarify. If you want to suck a dick or take one up the ass,and be a flaming queer and act like Bobby Trendy or if you prefer to be a carpet muncher whether you’re a bull dyke like Rosie O’Donnel or a lipstick lesbian like Ellen Degeneres or Portia De Rossi, that’s cool. But that’s a sexual choice you’ve made, not a constitutional right, and it only becomes protected under the constitution when you get bashed physically and it’s considered a hate crime.

Yet,even GOD says, what happens in the bedroom is between husband and wife. But there is,whether you accept it or not,a moral issue to be decided here, not a constitutional one.

Mom.

Written on February 4th, 2010
[mood_description] | [music_description]

There comes a time when someone from your past calls you to remembrance of the thigns you were, aspired to be,are now,and still can be.

Yesterday was February 3.

It’s a date that sticks with me,and will stick with me for the rest of my life. Yesterday,in 2005,is when my Mom lost a short battle to small cell lymphoma. I’m writing this now because it was just about this very minute that her little dog Tye,announced to me as I lay half dozing on the couch that she was taking her last breath. We had moved her earlier that morning from the hospital to here at her home with the help of Hospice. It didn’t take long after the hospital bed was set up in the living room and my Uncle(whom I have no use for) left,as did two of her closest friends. Wifey had brought the kiddos by to see their Nanny for one last time. She wasn’t concious, she wasn’t cognizant. In fact,I truly don’t think she was alive, meaning that her soul wasn’t here from the get go. She had only had one lucid moment in the week that she had been admitted into the hospital and that was to tell the doctor that she refused to have chemo. She knew it was her time to be with the rest of her family.

I left my job to stay with my Mom for the last week or so of her life. I never left her bedside except to come home and take a shower and eat and go right back to the hospital. When we got her here, back home,on my request, the nurse from Hospice told me that she was very close to crossing as soon as she saw her. I knew. I knew the minute I got in from Port Artur and saw her in the ICU that she was never going to open her eyes and see me again.

Around 4:15 that morning is when she drew her last breath. I was holding her hand as she did. She didn’tsqueeze my hand or anything dramatic like that. She just opened her mouth slightly, breathed a barely audible raspy breath, and when she exhaled, that was it. She had passed. For just a split second,I saw all the color, all the vibrance of the woman that she was in her body, and as quickly as I saw it,it faded with her last breath. Her beautiful green eyes went blank. Frozen in that moment.

I put her dog in her bed with her for just a few minutes, her dog had been her closest companion for almost 12 years. They were inseparable. Mom spoiled that little dog beyond all belief. The dog had a baby crib to sleep in that was full of toys. I moved her arms to her side and covered her up and made the effort to close her eyes and waited until the sun came up around 6am to begin making the phone calls.Myself and Tye deserved those final, peaceful moments, and I have never experienced a peace like that since.

This day, back in 2005,I lost a person that had chosen me,of all the babies to choose from, out of an adoption home in San Antonio. I have the 8mm movies shot as I was brought to the house in a red Volkswagon Beetle by the adoption people and placed in her arms for the first time. There are frames in that old grainy movie that my Dad had taken that she held my little hand, tears streaming down her beautiful face. She did that for my first days of the life I knew and would grow into. I did the same for her as hers ended. I held her hand, tears streaming down my face. Part in sadness that a very proud, very dynamic personality on this earth had been called home away from the rest of us,part in happiness knowing that she wasn’t in pain anymore, and that she was somewhere in the after life with my Dad,who had passed in 2001,her Mom,and her Dad whom she had lost when she was 9.

You know, there are days, that I swear I see her bee-bopping around the house and the yard piddling away at stuff around here like she used to. There are so many things that I miss, and I know they may sound trivial, but at Christmas time,I miss the peanut butter fudge she used to make the boys and myself by the pound, and even though I have her recipe and I try each and every Christmas to make it,I can’t get it right. As good as I can cook,I can’t get it right. I’ve tried to make the rue that she made for gumbo, and I can’t get it right, even though I have her recipe and steps and follow it to the letter, even though she actually showed me how to do it. The only reason, and Metalhead has pointed this out to me several times. It’s because I’m not Nanny.

It’s been 5 years, and I still miss the hell out of that woman,I always will, and I will always ask myself one question: Why she chose me from that orphanage in San Antonio and not another baby boy. I never really got that answer from her while she was alive,I never even cared. I surely can’t get that answer talking to the clods of dirt and head stone now. This may be the one question that will always remain unanswered, and it’s a question that, although it seems as if it needs to be answered verbally, gets answered each time I view that old 8mm film of my first day in her arms. Yet,I see the look in her eyes each time, and I think I have that answer, and that’s good enough for me.

Miss ya Mom. You just don’t know how much.

Woman

What manner of woman are you

to sit so high in your chair?

To deny of me the thigns I want?

Call to me and beg for my love

only to push me aside.

Press lips upon mine

only not for a lingering kiss,

for a small crimson drop of life

to ask for my spirit inside of you

only to push me aside again.

What manner of woman are you

to desire a most innocent kiss

to expect my bidding

to want no more than my very soul?

Mold me into your perception of man

who serves to be served

who gives and yet seeks nothing.

A man who seeks control

so that He may control,

Desire that he may desire once more

That woman whom he kneels before.

What manner of woman are you?

Simply no more than perfect.

4-14-00

Should there ever be a love so pure

that I have seen wash away?

Should there ever be a love so true

that I have seen gone astray?

Should there ever be a love so pure

that I have turned to shame?

Than that love I have tasted

that love I’ve yet to gain.

Not a rose can speak a word

that my lips cannot repeat.

Not a rose can touch my heart

that mine can never seek.

Not a rose can touch your lips

That mine have ever kissed.

Those thorns I have felt,

Winter

What life comes my way

on such a cold winter’s day?

Frigid reminder of what is to be.

What the season has taken

the next will awaken

blooming forth for God to see.

Yet,on this day

I will not find my way

remaining lost as I can,

for I want not the light

nor my path to be bright.

Snow covers life’s sand

chilling the warmth of the sun

a guiding hand from one

leading me on life’s way.

So.

My hand to the cold,

The first steps be so bold.

In your winter I will stay.

Crawl

Crawl to me on unworthy knees

you waste of human flesh

reveling in your submission.

Knowing I will give you what you need.

Cast teary eyes to mine

beg forgiveness for what you have done

Quite on purpose for your own sake.

Offer me what you would have.

Discipline? To show you the right way?

This is your desire,

the need I fulfill in your life,

the control you seemingly have.

Lower your eyes, stare at the floor,

whimper as the dog you have become,

it makes you no better.

Turn your backside to me,

want what you cannot have.

Beg for me to give,

beg me to cave to your desires

’till the air leaves your chest

and the tears dry on your cheeks.

Know what conrol I have.

I will deal with you,

in my own way,

in my own time,

fulfilling my desire,my need.

Your purpose.

Another Nail In The Coffin…Thanks Obama

Written on February 2nd, 2010

This time, instead of it being the fossil fuel industry(oil, coal, you know the ones) it’s the SPACE PROGRAM. Even though Obama added a 6 billion dollar boost to the space agency, what he did was kill the Constellation program and much of the further progress in technology in this country toward manned space flight to the moon again,Mars, and other missions set to come up.

“This effectively kills human space flight (by the United States),” Bob Mitchell, the president of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, said. “What we are doing is sacrificing our leadership in space.

“You lose your leadership in space. Whoever has it controls the world.”

What it does, according to the OBAMA budget plan,is transfer the bulk of payload missions to the International Space Station to the Russians and anything else to privatized and commercial alternatives to be developed.  This is what it also does, which is something Obama will become famous for.

IT KILLS JOBS.

How many might be in jeaprody now?

Mitchell said the Constellation program accounts for about 2,500 direct jobs in the area.

“What about all those people working on the shuttle program who were supposed to transition to Constellation?” Mitchell asked. “I am not worried about the companies. Lockheed-Martin will be fine, Boeing will be fine. What I worry about are those 18,000 (space-related) jobs. I worry about those people.”

Let’s see, that could possibly equal into 20,500 jobs nation wide that have to do with the space program including jobs at Universities, undergrad jobs, jobs related to tourism at not Only NASA,but at Cape Canaveral, engineering jobs, tech jobs, you name it.

Obama and the Democrats. Friends of the working man my ACHING ASS. How is it that he can stand in front of the American people, and actively give away our leadership in outter space, transfer the jobs and missions to the country that was and still remains our ONLY competition above the atmosphere, just give that away and the mindless robots that fell in line and still act like he’s some kind of fucking rock star and could care less what he’s doing to this country economically(which was outlined in the series of quotes by people he closely associates with look back in time if you want to),militarily, and morally and just sit back and TAKE IT?!?!
I’m not saying this is a Republican issue, and if that’s what you think, then you can just go fuck yourself with a broken beer bottle in the neck. This is a JOBS ISSUE that he cares absolutely NOTHING ABOUT. His main mission is for the United States to only take a leadership role in the world to drive electric cars, and have absolutely no industry to speak of and lay everything we lead the world in on the economic plates of Russia,China,North Korea,Japan,Venezuela,Pakistan and India.

That’s what he’s doing and you people can’t see this? You idiots can’t see what is going on here? You can’t see that the Obama plan is to effectively give away more and more jobs to countries overseas in gift boxes at the price of this country getting flushed down the economic toilet?

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it time and time again until the actual REAL unemployment numbers match those of the bullshit he spouts about how many jobs he’s saved or created isn’t pulled out of his ears. Take off your rose colored glasses and just pay attention and question everything that anyone on Capitol Hill does right now.

And if your Congress person votes in favor to kill jobs in the district you live in just to go along with this? String them up from the nearest tree by their feet and tar and feather them. Blame THEM for what they are doping to your local economies when jobs get shut down and moved across the globe. THEY are the ones voting in favor of this,THEY are the ones falling in line with this plan to kill this country’s role in the world.

And anyone that questions this,is getting shut down for speaking out on either Captiol Hill,or in the media.

Think about that.

It’s Almost Mardis Gras….

Not that it’s something I’m truly anticipating in this area,I got finished with the partying part of me a lone ago, especially over on the Island. I’m wondering though, and I’m partial to both sides on this, but preferential to one,how businesses on the Island are going to handle the new no smoking ban in businesses there? What has happened, and I know that Galveston is not the only place in the country that has done this, but they have enacted a no smoking in businesses all over the Island, and the esteemed city council(I’ve said before these people are a bunch of brainiacs) has left the enforcement of this ban up to local law enforcement instead of the business owners.

Now,the debate going on is simply this: Crime on the Island is at an all time high as it is,now the local cops(who don’t have the best reputation around if you ever heard of the Brandon Backe(Astros relief pitcher) beat down) to enforce the new code. I can honestly tell you with their flowery reputation, someone’s is gonna get tasered during Mardis Gras over a cigarette.

Now,here’s my position on this, and I agree totally with a guy that wrote a nice little letter to the Editor of our local paper about this. There are people that wanted this ban enforced on all these businesses that have not,and would not frequent most of the businesses that this ban is being pushed on. The Island is only one casino short of being Sin City on the Gulf Coast. Honestly,New Orleans has Bourbon Street,we have a whole ISLAND full of what New Orleans has, which is a bunch of drunk tourists at any time of the year and streets full of piss and puke. Truly, that’s what Bourbon Street is,and that’s what the Strand district, seawall, and all the beaches have always been here.

The people that wanted this ban in the first place are a lobby of new business owners who are not natives here, and own some of the new(and I mean BRAND NEW,2 actually)motels built right before and after IKE came in. They don’t go to any of the biker bars, none of the strip clubs(and we have any kind of strip club you want here,gay/lesbian/transgendered,straight,nude,bikini,you name it,if it can get nekkid we got it),and honestly are only here on the Island from 9-5 on Monday thru Friday. In fact, before the smoking ban,the only clubs you would see anyone smoking in here were the biker bars, strip clubs, and out of the way hole in the wall clubs that even I on my worst days won’t go in to without nuclear capabilities.

If a restaurant has a smoking section,or had one,it was and has always been divided from the non-smokers since the 1980’s here, with separate ventilation so the non smokers wouldn’t be hacking into their food. The clubs, and if you smoke, you know you smoke when you drink, have been just what they are in every town. You can look up and you can’t really see the ceiling. Clubs are supposed to be smoky,it adds to the ambiance of the place if the decor is right. Or,OR,you can make the choice to go outside and smoke. Now,I’m not talking about fast food places here. You know what I mean.

Anyway, the whole point here is I’m awaiting the headline when this all starts:Half Naked Bead Wearing College Girl Tasered Outside Outback Steakhouse Over Smoking Ban. It’s gonna happen.

Here’s the deal, and here’s my position on this, like I said,I’m a smoker. If you don’t smoke, fine. If you don’t want to breathe the 2nd and smoke from cigarettes, that’s fine to. Like I said,if a restaurant has a smoking section that’s separated from the rest of you,and has a separate ventilation system or you have to sit in a nice cabana style OUTSIDE table in the 110 degree,150% humidity and 5,000 mosquitoes per breath section to smoke, then you do what you have to do. We all have, and I’m not going to say a RIGHT,because it’s not really covered in the Constitution, but let’s say a privilege of smoking or not smoking if we want to. The smoking ban wasn’t elected in anything brought to the public,or the Chamber of Commerce,or any association of business owners,it was decided by the City Council only, who has had an agenda since IKE came in to change the place. But what it’s going to do is send patrons away from the Island to the mainland to restaurants and bars and motels that still allow people to smoke in them.

So,keep the smoking going, don’t leave enforcement of this stupid ban up to the cops but put it in the hands of the business owners and let the patrons decide what they want, because this is a tourist town, and most of the people here are only here for the weekend and events like Mardis Gras and Spring Break, and vacations. They don’t live here all the time.
